Stop, Question, and Frisk is a policy to help cut crime, and a great weapon for the police department.
Side Points: 0

Large cities around the United States have implemented a policy called "Stop, Question, and Frisk" with the police departments.  This policy gives police officers the ability to stop a person in the street, for any reason to check them for weapons or any other illegal item in their possession.  The policy has been considered racist because the overwhelming majority of the stops have been on African American males, and latino males.  Most of these stops did not produce a weapon or any illegal items on the person.

In New York City the policy has been scaled back by the mayor.  Some have stated that the rate of violent crimes has escalated because of the cut back on the policy.
